Skin Peels

EXPLORE

A chemical peel is a minimally invasive procedure that helps improve the appearance of skin. During the procedure, your doctor carefully applies combinations of powerful solutions to the face, décolletage (neck and chest), or hands to remove dead skin cells. The solutions penetrate into the skin, causing dead skin cells to peel off. The new skin is smoother and more refined-looking.

Here at Skin Sense GP Clinic we offer a range of skin peels:

Obagi Radiance Peel

Blue Peel radiance is the perfect choice for an instant improvement for the skin. This is a superficial exfoliation that works beyond the standard cosmetic cream you can buy at the chemist. The Obagi Blue Peel helps to combat many skin concerns including photodamage, pigmentation, acne and skin texture. We recommend 4 – 6 (1 per week) of the Obagi for best results.

There is almost no down time involved. Blue Peel radiance improves various skin concerns, including photodamage, pigmentation, acne and skin texture hence making it look more fresh and radiant.

Obagi Blue Peel

A highly effective, medium-depth chemical peel with a low concentration of TCA makes skin appear firmer, clearer, and smoother. Patented Blue Peel Base allows your doctor to tailor the application process to the specific needs of your skin. This peel can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, back of arms, and legs. The Obagi Blue Peel is used in conjunction with the Nu-Derm System to enhance and potentiate the anti-ageing effects on the skin.

Perfect Peel

THE PERFECT PEEL WAS CREATED USING FDA APPROVED ACIDS: TCA, SALICYLIC, RETINOIC AND PHENOL. Glutathione and kojic acid, are two added ingredients that differentiate The Perfect Peel from others on the market, working gently and safely to lighten pigmented skin. Glutathione is an antioxidant that combats free radical damage and offers brightening effects. Kojic acid is a natural acid, derived from the fermentation of rice that inhibits melanin production while simultaneously reducing disorders such as melisma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. A vitamin C and mineral base nourishes the skin further,

There are many types of chemical peel preparations, and the right preparation for you depends on your skin type and desired results. Medium-depth chemical peels often include the use of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to improve the appearance of: Fine to medium wrinkles Moderate photodamage Discoloration problems Superficial acne scars Chemical peels in general can also improve other skin problems, including: Acne Freckles Facial scars Rough skin Hyperpigmentation Fine lines and wrinkles Epidermal and dermal pigmentation problems Superficial acne scarring Large pores and comedones (white-heads) Solar keratosis Skin laxity and uneven texture

During the procedure, your doctor carefully applies combinations of powerful solutions to the face, décolletage (neck and chest), or hands to remove dead skin cells. The solutions penetrate into the skin, causing dead skin cells to peel off. The new skin is smoother and more refined-looking. Application takes 10-15 minutes and is kept on for 30-60 minutes.

Patients should avoid use of the following products and procedures on the area to be peeled for 5-7 days prior to the peel: Laser hair removal Waxing Depilatory creams Electrolysis There are certain products that may increase skin sensitivity and/or cause a stronger reaction to the peel if used up to the day of the peel. Avoid using BHA-containing products on infants and children.
